11/11 Vibes- Living a Life You Love

11/11 is one of my favorite days on the calendar- other than my birthday, 12/22, of course.

11/11 not only adds up to my beloved 22, but it’s known as one of the most spiritual days of the year.  Representing intuition and enlightenment, 11/11 is the ideal day to redirect your thoughts- remember, they are powerful!

Your thoughts become reality.

Vibrations are high and it’s the perfect time to visualize yours dreams and desires.  Remember, you have the ability to manifest the life you want to live- whether it’s pursuing that book you’re writing or relationship you wish to have.

For me, I am doing the work to live a creative life- not just in my hobbies, but in my career.  I set up a home office, organized my journals, and faced my desk toward the trees.  As my home, spirit, and mind become ready for what is next, the Universe’s plan for me will effortlessly fall into place.

I’ve been writing on this blog for almost three years, and have written about 11/11 before.  However, I unknowingly was still trying to fit in a box that wasn’t meant for me.  I tried teaching, working at a law firm, and being an executive assistant at a nonprofit.  I’ve had endless attempts to make my life work doing things that weren’t in my heart, but upon my move home to Michigan, I refused to live out a story that wasn’t meant for me.

I have to follow my heart.

I found a job within style, have been writing every day, and am making headway with my book.  I’ve connected with amazing people and actually feel I am living with purpose, not just for a paycheck.

Being authentic to who you are makes all the difference in the world- if you’re acting differently than what your soul tells you, you’re just confusing the Universe.

Listen to your intuition- it won’t steer you in the wrong direction.

Five Ways To Live A High Vibe Life

66494336_10107695019107038_8589728497994301440_n

I’m a big believer that life is what you make it.

Circumstances may not always seem to get better on the outside, but we do– we have the choice to change within, and to grow stronger from the challenges life throws our way.

There have been a variety of things that have helped my life improve over the past couple of years.  Happiness is cumulative; we don’t magically become content overnight, but each and every day we have the opportunity to add positive things that will build over time.

Start Your Day With An Intention

Having a mental map of what you want to accomplish each morning is important to start the day on the right foot.  Do you intend to be kinder?  Are you hoping to be more grateful?  Would you like to remain mindful?

Maybe your intention is small, but it’s important to remember it throughout the day.  It could make all the difference in turning a frustrating day into a beautiful one!

Eat Clean

Giving up meat and most processed foods has been a slow-go; although I have dabbled with going meatless for the last few of years, it wasn’t until recently that I took it seriously.  Boy, does clean eating change things.

My energy has sky rocketed, workouts are more enjoyable, and I’m doing my part to help the environment.

Avoid Drugs and Alcohol

I’m proud to say I’m a happily sober person.  I used to begrudgingly tell people “I don’t drink,” but today I own my sobriety.  It makes me who I am.

Being substance-free has empowered my life in so many ways.  My intuition is keen, my health has improved, my mind is clear, and I make better decisions.  I no longer wake up in strange places, or do I say things I later forget.

Many of my role models, such as Brené Brown and Wayne Dyer, have written about the benefits of living alcohol-free, and how being sober has enriched their lives.  Why would I want to fit in with the drinking crowd when I could be helping someone who may be struggling by sharing my own story?  That’s badass, if you ask me.

Stay In Your Lane

This was the best advice anyone has ever given me.  When you get into the middle of someone else’s drama (especially when it doesn’t pertain you), you’re immediately sucked into their low vibes.

Sometimes we try and be “fixers,” and that’s totally okay- but know your limits.  It’s great to want to help people, but understand when it’s time to step back.

Gossip in general is low vibe energy, and remember- when you point the finger, there’s three pointing back at yourself.  Many use gossip as a bonding tool (haven’t we all?), but it’s some of the most harmful and hurtful types of bonding there can be.  Be mindful of the company you keep- are they benefiting and enriching your life, or causing you chaos?

Make Time For Joy

As you go about your daily commute, stop and smell the flowers.  Take the time to go in for that latte.  Play in the sprinklers.  Enjoy the sunset.

The most simple pleasures are sometimes to most beneficial- remember not to take them for granted.

A Woman’s Intuition is Always Right

You know that feeling in the pit of your stomach when you first meet someone?

That little sign that says, “stay away,” or even, “he seems a little douchey?”

I try not to generalize or stereotype (keyword: try), so I often used to ignore that gut feeling.

I give the poor chap the benefit of the doubt, despite his obvious attempts at overselling himself. Over the past 15 years or so I’ve seen the same patterns, over and over, and as soon as I do, I shake my head and think “damn it, Kristin, you already had this one pinned.”

Within the first few exchanges, if a man suggests going on vacation with you, talks about your future, wants to introduce you to his family, or takes you somewhere elaborate, run. Fun fast.

Listen to your intuition.

It won’t oversell itself to you.

Growth: How Intuition and Awakening Cause Big Changes

It’s hard to explain why my life has changed so much so many different times these past 10 years. Part of it has to do with being a free spirited young adult, yet today it finally clicked.

As I have changed, and as my spiritual awakening has been happening, the things around me have changed right along with it.

I happen to be a highly intuitive and clairvoyant person, so my gut always tells me or sabotages a situation I know isn’t right. As my consciousness grows and as I stop mixing the messages from society and the outside world, I catch myself. I question big life factors. And, abruptly, I make a change. Although most people don’t understand this or may call my changes erratic, to me they make perfect sense in the end.

From changes such as calling off a wedding and moving to San Francisco from my home state (I had never lived anywhere else at that point) to quitting jobs or moving apartments, change is no stranger to me.

With each change, I move closer to my purpose.

With each fall, I emerge even stronger.

I learn, I feel, and I grow. I listen to my heart center today and do the best I can without letting the outside world sway me any longer.

For years, I listened too much to others- not from the divine guidance from source, which manifests in my life as intuition and synchronicities.

I’m happy to finally realize this for myself, but it sure has been difficult to explain to others- but I know I don’t have to today.

and, when you listen to your intuition, sometimes even a little magic happens.

San Francisco Soul

Ten years ago today I moved outside of Michigan for the first time in my life.  Taking a one way flight to SFO, I moved in with two girls I had never met, into an apartment I had only seen in photos.  Making a major life decision based on intuition, I felt an amazing feeling of euphoria for the first time in my life: it was a feeling of freedom.

A chance to start new.  A city to be free to find myself.

I had just called off my wedding and knew there was a lot more out there for me; but I had no idea what that would be.  Little did I know what a winding path I would have since that April evening!  My first days, months, and year in San Francisco was such a special time in my life- one that I will never, ever forget. ✨

Never be scared to follow your intuition and take risks- your heart knows that way.
