Lessons in Growth

I’ve been thinking about how frustrations can lead to such important lessons in life.

Any person or situation that bothers me is hands-on lesson in reframing my thoughts.

Certain individuals or behaviors may be unacceptable in my eyes, but what is that telling me?

It’s a sign for me to think differently and exercise new skills to handle the situation.

Instead of reacting, I can choose grace. I can choose to let it roll off my back. I can choose to hold my head high instead of avoiding, cowering, or being aggressive.

“Being assertive is being kind and confident,” a wise person said to me yesterday. I never thought of it this way.

We don’t have to like other people’s shortcomings, but we can accept them- and own our side of the street.
