In Full Bloom

Rain poured down

The old washed away

The sun reemerged

and she knew she’d be okay

Sandals on her feet

and flowers on the ground

Mornings at the park

and dancing all around.

This season has been different

Than others of the past

Her happiness is real

A feeling that could last.

As she picked up a petal

on the grass that spring day

She spelled out the words

and knew serenity was here to stay.
