Let Her Fly

This morning I woke up and headed to the bodega near my house, only to find it closed.  Irritated, I kept walking and attempted to find another nearby store to get my coffee and bananas.  No such luck.

Life is quite serendipitous!  Ever since moving to the neighborhood two weeks ago today, I’ve been meaning to roam the streets to capture the street art.  This area of Boston is full of life and history with an urban feel, something I had been missing while living in the suburbs.

Living beautifully as always, I took this opportunity to finally slow down and take in the art.

As much as I try to plan and control my life, this morning was a symbolic example of going with the flow.  The butterflies, birds, fish and musical notes were all representations of growing my own wings and learning to be free- free from the pressures I place upon myself.

Each day I become a little bit stronger and know my authentic self a little bit better.  I’ve learned that I no longer have to hold back from the person that I am- a creative, loving spirit with big dreams, while still with my feet planted on the ground.  In my mindfulness practice, I have learned to clear my mind and let the messages from the universe in.  Instead of getting aggregated about the store being closed, I took it as a sign to slow down.

“We can rise from the depth with support and united we can aim high and sing all together.”

Have a beautiful Sunday!
