In honor of my wonderful mother, friends, family, and Lady Liberty- Happy International Women’s Day!

I was overjoyed to see that the Fearless Girl joined the Charging Bull on Wall Street. Although I appreciated the strength and courage the bull symbolized, it represented a masculine energy of trampling over others, just as Wall Street tries to do.

I was never a fan of that part of downtown Manhattan, nor the people in it. The fact that there is a feminine energy standing her ground, looking straight at the bull gave me the chills- and reminded me of the Resistance movement.

It was only appropriate to bring back this photo of my wonderful mother from her very first trip to New York.

If only the rest of the country could understand what Lady Liberty truly means: opportunity, love, and acceptance.

Here’s to all the women across the world- keep doing what you’re doing. Keep fighting, keep loving, keep standing strong.
