Today marks three months in Boston!
It’s hard to believe that last fall I had no idea what I was doing, where I would live or where I would work, yet somehow I knew Boston was the right thing to do. In these three months I made a lot of to-do lists, stayed focused, started this blog, was discovered by Thought Catalog, got a promotion and most importantly- kept things simple.
I have learned to live a life of love and to have faith instead of fear. The first step was learning to radically love and accept myself, which included fueling my soul, taking care of my body and mind and letting go of the negativity in my life.
There had been many signs pointing me in the direction of the Bay State over the past few years, but I am fortunate to have begun my life in Massachusetts when I did- with a clear mind and an open heart. My experiences along the way have taught me the person that I want to become- and although I don’t know what my future holds, I will appreciate the moment.
“If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present.” -Lao Tzu
To anyone who is going through struggles, a slump or just feeling kinda lost- HANG IN THERE. It gets better- you just have to keep the faith.
